1.Which sequencing platformsOmics drive have?

We have the Illumina Novaseq 6000, Hiseq X,Hiseq 4000, PacBio SMRT Sequel sequencing platform and Oxford Nanopore platform.

2.What is the turnaround time for the NGS services?

The turnaround time is up to the number of samples and the services required. The nuclear acid extraction and data analysis requirement will be the factors as well. Regularly, the time frame oflibrary construction and sequencing is ~ 20 business days. An estimated time would be given once the project started.

3.How do you guarantee the sequencing quality?

QC report will be provided in every majorsteps, i.e. QC of the starting DNA/RNA, library preparation QC and raw data QC to detect the sequencing quality. Nevertheless, pls provide your own quality control result before samples ship out.

To monitor sequencing quality control, the PhiX control will be used as apositive control in the clustering process. If a problem occurs in sample preparation, PhiX still generates clusters. These clusters help to discern whether a lack of clusters is due to sample preparation failure or a failure inthe cluster generation process.

4.How many biological replicates do I need for each condition?

To increase confidence and minimize bias, we strongly suggest to submit at least 3 replicates for each treatment/group. Please note that this is to serve as a guideline only and the final number of replicates and samples is to be determined by the end user based on their experiment design and expectations. We do not make technical replicate libraries from the same sample, as next-generation sequencing technology itself is highly reproducible.

5.We will have several samples from different time points. Should we do sequencing when all of them are ready?

Pls send samples to us in several batches. This will allow us to run QC first to check the sample quality. If sample does not pass QC, customer may want to prepare new samples.

6.Does Omics Drive have data analysis capabilities?

Omics Drive provides raw data as FASTQ filesfor all projects. Omics Drive also has advanced bioinformatics capabilities to provide standard and customized data analysis services,

7.Can Omics Drive assist with experimental design?

Omics Drive Project Management, a team ofdedicated technical experts, is available to assist with experimental designand to answer any questions for sequencing projects.
